Tanya Magesh is an Environmental Science student at Baylor University with a deep passion for addressing the urgent challenges of climate change. Inspired from a young age by The Lorax and deeply affected by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill at just five years old, Tanya has always felt a strong calling to protect the planet. These formative experiences shaped her commitment to environmental advocacy and a belief that actions speak louder than words.

Throughout her academic career, Tanya has been actively involved in several environmental initiatives, from designing and leading a structured Cafeteria Recycling Program in middle school to spearheading a Congressional Youth Climate Action Resolution in high school. These projects have fueled her passion for policy change and hands-on environmental work. Looking ahead, Tanya plans to pursue a career in environmental law, aiming to advocate for vulnerable communities across the United States and worldwide, helping them navigate the escalating risks of climate change.

With a strong belief in the power of collective action, Tanya is committed to growing her work as an environmental advocate and is passionate about shaping the future of policy and activism to ensure a healthy and sustainable planet.
